María is a Spanish journalist. From the beginning, she has grown in a digital environment by working for online projects at El País, Soitu and Condé Nast. With a Fulbright scholarship, in 2014 she moved to New York City to join Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism, a program directed by Jeff Jarvis at City University of New York. During her stay in the United States, she worked on Latin American issues at Quartz, The Atlantic’s economic information startup. She also won the first prize of the Foreign Press Association Scholarship Fund to develop The Fuego, a bilingual newsletter for Latinos in the United States. Currently, she is part of the innovation team of Univision News in Miami. Her job is to explore and implement new news trends and tools in the newsroom and experiment with distribution channels that help create a more meaningful relationship with the audience.
