Guadalupe is a recent Santa Monica College graduate, while working on earning her associate of science degree in journalism from the college she joined the student ran newspaper, The Corsair, where she worked on writing articles for the college’s newspaper as well as developing her skills in social media through the college’s social media audience engagement class. Through the course she was able to learn how to create post on social media and gain further knowledge on audience engagement.She is also a current intern at L.A. TACO, the James Beard Award winning, street-level journalism news outlet, while at L.A. TACO she has continued to develop her writing skills but has had a strong emphasis and focus on content creation for the news outlet and helping the team at L.A. TACO with their social media platforms. She is honored and is looking forward to being a part of this years ONA23 Student Newsroom.
