Originally from South Florida, Emily now studies Journalism at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. She is also pursing a minor in Sociology and a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications. Emily enjoys writing about a variety of subjects, whether it is hard news or entertainment pieces. She writes for her school’s newspaper The Daily Northwestern as well as Northwestern’s Her Campus chapter. Last summer she served as an editorial intern at Boca Raton magazine and this summer she is a content marketing intern at Centro. She has a newfound passion for digital journalism, specifically reporting through social media. Her favorite part about being a journalist is telling stories that are often untold and bringing light and truth into the world.
Aside from journalism, Emily enjoys traveling and hopes to visit every continent (including Antartica). She hopes to incorporate her travel experiences into her writing to tell new and interesting stories about different cultures.
