Sophie Ho is the Director of Product and Insights at the News Revenue Hub, where she consults on audience growth, news product strategy, and high-level data analysis for local and nonprofit newsrooms. Previously, Sophie worked at Google as a product strategist for news and ranking, focusing on developing content quality principles for a new project surfacing UGC content for news-seeking users. Before Google, she worked at The Washington Post in a variety of audience and analytics-focused roles, with the dual mandate of shifting The Post to a data-informed newsroom culture and defining editorial success metrics in increasing traffic and subscribers. Sophie is an alumna of the ONA Women’s Leadership Accelerator and resides in the Bay Area, California.
