Lyng-Hou Ramirez is a journalist based in South Florida. She started her career in Caracas, Venezuela, working as reporter and correspondent for foreign news agencies in New York, Washington D.C., and was part of the first BBC Latin American Service team in Miami. She is currently the Content and Operations Director for Grupo de Diarios America (GDA), a unique media consortium created in 1991 by 11 leading news publishers across the region to share best practices and collaborate in Content and Business projects. As the main liaison for the GDA newsrooms, Lyng-Hou leads the multi-platform production of investigative features, regional news coverage and exclusive interviews in Spanish and Portuguese. She also works with Business managers promoting knowledge sharing, joint initiatives and benchmarks. She has also developed training and scholarship programs and is in charge of the GDA’s Digital Content Exchange Platform, GDA.com and the Annual GDA Journalistic Awards.
