Emily Dresslar is the Director of Content Strategy for Calkins Media, which operates newspapers and broadcast stations in the Eastern U.S. She works on a digital team tasked with providing strategy and leadership on digital, mobile and OTT products and initiatives. She also develops and implements special projects in journalism including media and university partnerships, policy development and training. She was formerly a newspaper reporter and editor-in-chief in Colorado and has served a number of Chicago-area media organizations as a researcher and consultant. Dresslar graduated with honors with master’s degree in Media Strategy from the Medill School at Northwestern University in 2011 and holds a professional certificate in media management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.
