Dawn Cuthbertson is a media professional with 18 years of experience. Currently leading the local online newsrooms across the country for Global News, a division of Corus Entertainment, Dawn also specializes in editorial standards. Her keen editorial eye and leadership resulted in an award-winning series on Global’s online platform. Other roles for Global News include Director of Content and Network Production, Acting Director of Content and Editorial Standards, Online Regional Managing Editor and Managing Editor of Features. Previously, she worked for the Toronto Star, AOL/Huffington Post Media Group and MSN.
Dawn has taught editing essentials at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she earned her bachelor of journalism. In the spring of 2015, she spent six weeks in Tanzania teaching journalism workshops at Tumaini University on behalf of Journalists for Human Rights.
