Daniel Lathrop is a longtime investigative data journalist who has won major awards for his investigative work. He teaches digital and data journalism at the University of Iowa.
He speaks regularly on data journalism as well as the use of JavaScript for data science. As a member of the university’s informatics initiative he served for the past four years as adviser to the media informatics program.
