Rachel Piper is the director of digital news for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and a digital trainer with the Society of Professional Journalists. She previously worked for The Salt Lake Tribune in Utah, where she was the digital director, a news editor and night editor. She was a writer and editor with the Tribune team that won a 2017 Pulitzer Prize for reporting on sexual assault at Utah colleges. In her spare time, she reads, knits, makes cocktails and pets cats.
