Kim is the product manager of newsletters and messaging for the Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune, focused on building loyal relationships and genuine engagement with readers. Before that, she ran community and product operations at News Deeply. She also taught a master’s level course at NYU’s Journalism Institute on reporting with, rather than on, a community. Originally from Berlin, Kim came to the U.S. to work as a business correspondent in New York, reporting for the Financial Times Deutschland, NZZ am Sonntag, Die Zeit, and Zeit Online among others.
