Alex works with the rest of Al Jazeera America's digital staff to create multimedia stories for the site. She's previously worked for the Reno Gazette-Journal, USA TODAY, Home Front Communications and the Pew Charitable Trusts. Outside the office, she plays a lot of bocce, bicycles (but not in serious ways involving spandex), and shares a New York studio apartment with a tortoise named Captain Ahab.
