Trevor served on the ONA staff from 2014-2024. During his tenure at ONA, Trevor developed numerous educational programs and oversaw organization-wide goal setting, performance management and operational strategies.
Before joining ONA, Trevor served as Project Director at FrontlineSMS, a 2011 Knight News Challenge winner, where he helped build mobile messaging tools for journalists and media outlets. He also led trainings with media outlets around the world to improve their ability to gather, track and share news with mobile technology.
He has presented at global media events, including the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum, the International Summit for Community Wireless Networks and SXSW. He has also given a number of university class lectures on the use of mobile technology in areas of limited broadband connectivity. Previously, Trevor worked as a federal policy reporter in Washington, DC, as well as a global humanitarian specialist.
