Sydney Rencher is a first-year graduate student at Texas Southern University pursuing a Professional Communication and Digital Media degree. She is a proud Spring 2024 graduate of Florida A&M University, where she earned a B.S. in Broadcast journalism. As a multimedia journalist, Rencher has developed a diverse skill set that includes photography, videography, content creation, news reporting (MMJ), and writing.
During her time at FAMU, she took on several roles that allowed her to expand and showcase her abilities. She served as the Sports and Creative Information Director for the Women’s Basketball team, the university’s photographer for the Office of Communication, and the Promotions Director for the campus radio station.
Rencher also had the opportunity to manage many of the university’s social media accounts. As she transitions into the next career phase, Rencher is focused on refining her skills, building a solid professional network, and continuously learning to become an even more proficient multimedia journalist. Her passion for storytelling and dedication to her craft drives her to seek opportunities that will allow her to grow and make a meaningful impact in journalism.
