Rachel is a reporter for the Center for Public Integrity's politics team, where she covers the money behind state politics and policy. Before joining CPI in 2013, she was a local news reporter at The Washington Examiner covering Washington, D.C.’s Maryland suburbs and education. Rachel has a master’s degree in journalism and public affairs from American University and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania.
