Nicole Stockdale is director of digital strategy at The Dallas Morning News at a pivotal point in time in the news industry. She leads digital innovation and audience development and is in charge of efforts to refine the organization’s digital offerings. She runs the newsroom’s Digital Cabinet and is responsible for setting strategy and applying newsroom resources to digital growth, as well as supervising the data and interactives team and the audience team. Prior to this, Nicole was deputy editorial page editor in The Dallas Morning News' Editorial Department. She served as the department’s operational chief, managing the editorial writers, running the day-to-day operations and developing digital strategy. She joined the editorial board in 2006 after seven years as a news copy editor at The Dallas Morning News and The Wichita (Kan.) Eagle. Nicole graduated from Wichita State University with a BA in communications and political science.
