Michelle Garcia is the editorial manager of NBC BLK, a division of NBC News that covers news and information focusing on Black Americans. Before that, she was an editor at Vice, Out magazine, Vox, Mic.com, and The Advocate magazine. Over the last decade Michelle has covered major social movements across the U.S. including the fight for marriage equality, #MeToo, and the Movement for Black Lives, to name a few. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, toddler, and very excellent dog.
