Mary is the former Publisher/COO at Voice of San Diego, the first strictly digital local nonprofit news organization in the U.S. Joining VOSD in 2011, Mary grew annual revenue by nearly $1 million and led the organization in building one of the most successful membership programs in the industry. In 2016, she launched the News Revenue Hub, a national project that provides centralized back-office management of membership programs for nearly a dozen news organizations including InsideClimate News, Marshall Project, The Intercept and Politifact.
