Mandy Hofmockel is the Deputy Editor of News for Newsday.com, overseeing a team that programs Newsday's apps, homepage and news newsletters. She focuses on breaking and planned news events, digital subscription growth and retention, product development and digital strategy. Hofmockel has helped lead digital coverage during local, national and international news events, including Long Island corruption trials and the 2018 midterm and 2016 presidential elections.
She previously worked for MassLive.com, The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and the Center for Investigative Reporting. She graduated from Penn State and loves dogs, coffee and Instagram.
