Jessica Young is the content coordinator for Harris County Pct. 2 Communications and a multimedia journalism lecturer at University of Houston. She was previously the Digital News Editor of the Houston Chronicle. Before moving to Houston, Jessica was Assistant City Editor of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times and previously worked at other media outlets including National Public Radio, Texas Monthly, the Huntsville Item and the Brazosport Facts.
Jessica served with the City of Houston’s Literacy Board, the YWCA Houston’s Youth Leadership Council and co-founded the Online News Association’s Houston chapter. She received her Bachelor of Journalism degree from University of Texas in Austin and is pursuing her Masters of Liberal Arts in Journalism Extension Studies from Harvard University.
