Jaeah is a reporter at Mother Jones magazine in San Francisco, where she writes, codes, and charts. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, Guardian, Wired, Christian Science Monitor, Global Post, Huffington Post, Talking Points Memo, and Grist. She has covered police misconduct, the fast-food wage gap, Hobby Lobby copycats, college presidents who are paid like CEOs, and the devastating consequences of defunding Planned Parenthood. As a 2013-14 Middlebury fellow in environmental journalism, she spent a year investigating China's emerging fracking industry and its ties to international oil companies, which led to a feature story. Her work won a Society of Professional Journalists award for excellence in data visualization, and has been named a finalist in the Data Journalism Awards. Jaeah has spoken at conferences including the Online News Association, Investigative Reporters and Editors, National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting, Exceptional Women in Publishing, and SRCCON
