As the director of digital strategy at KXTV, the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Sacramento, Calif., Ian created and directed the implementation of an online strategy that has resulted in triple-digit annual growth rates for the station’s audience online and on social media. He has led KXTV as it has moved from no. 4 to no. 1 among local media organizations online in its market. Previously he worked as the engagement specialist for KQEDnews.org in San Francisco. He also has more than 10 years of experience as a beat reporter at newspapers in California, Ohio and New York state.
