Estefania Mitre is a proud Mexican immigrant and currently the Instagram News Fellow for El Diario New York, a collaboration between the Facebook Journalism Project and the Reynolds Journalism Institute. She has worked as a student journalist for a project with NBC News, Noticias Telemundo, and Instagram and at PBS El Paso. She is also an El Paso Herald-Post Latinx/Social Justice reporter. Estefania is a senior at the University of Texas at El Paso and is originally from Juárez, México.
