Madeline is Associate Editor of the Guardian US Mobile Innovation Lab. Housed in the Guardian US newsroom in New York, the Mobile Lab is an experimental unit funded by the Knight Foundation working to find new avenues for mobile storytelling. In her role at the Mobile Lab, she writes for the experimental formats developed in the lab, helps to develop product rules, and analyzes mobile lab experiments for a public audience. Madeline is a graduate of NYU’s Studio 20 M.A. program in digital journalism during which she was a 2015 Google Journalism Fellow at the Nieman Journalism Lab. From 2010 – 2013, she lived in Cairo, Egypt where she was a Presidential Fellow in Communications at the American University in Cairo and Assistant Editor of the Cairo Review of Global Affairs. Originally from Boston, she now lives in New York.
