Annie Daniel is a software engineer at The New York Times where she wrangles election data and makes other scary datasets easy. Prior to joining The Times, Annie made charts, maps and web apps at The Texas Tribune in Austin.
She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill where she studied journalism and political science. Annie now lives in Washington, D.C. where she knits, bakes and reads science fiction.
