What is the role of the Web in the criminal justice system and how can it be applied to criminal justice journalism? That question will be explored at the 4th Annual Guggenheim Symposium on Crime in America, Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 2-3, in New York.

The panel, "The Online World and Crime," will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 3:45 p.m., and will feature FBI Special Agent Jeff Cisar, founder of Bankrobbers.com, Peter Hermann, crime reporter for the Baltimore Sun, and Eric Cadora, director of the Justice Mapping Center.

The conference is hosted by John Jay's Center on Media, Crime and Justice and is the only one of its kind that brings together an audience of journalists, academics, practitioners and policy makers to discuss current issues of criminal justice facing the nation.

Attendance is free.
