John C. Havens from BlogTalkRadio waved a Flip Video camcorder at the audience during and said it was the sort of multimedia tool that could be used for capturing and publishing video at low cost.
The camcorder has 30 minutes of digital recording time and costs about $110, Havens said.
Havens also said that now is the time to jump into multimedia because the cost of publishing is so low.
However, Havens warned about being careful when publishing online. He said he thinks of every blog entry as a press release.
"Just because you can publish a blog post in seconds doesn't mean you don't do drafts," Havens said.
"We are in a rare and blessed era," said Havens, saying that sites like YouTube, which are currently free, would probably start charging for hosting content in the future.
